Structure of the House System
Each student at Al Sadiq College is part of one of four Houses: Lions, Roses, Scholars, and Lanterns. Students begin every day in their House Home Room Group (gender-based) under the guidance of their Homeroom Teacher, who provides support and fosters connections within the House.
Every three weeks, House Meetings are held, where students come together in a vertical structure, mixing different year levels. This allows both boys and girls to develop a deeper sense of community and belonging. The vertical structure ensures students from all stages of their school journey have the opportunity to interact, mentor each other, and build school spirit.
Each House is led by a Head of House, a dedicated staff member who supports the pastoral, social, emotional, and academic wellbeing of the students within the House. The Head of House also serves as a point of contact for both teachers and parents, ensuring open lines of communication and fostering strong relationships throughout the school year.
Students remain in the same House for the entire duration of their schooling at Al Sadiq College, allowing Heads of House to build long-lasting connections with both students and their families. This continuity enhances the sense of community and support, both in and out of the classroom.
House Competitions
The House System also encourages healthy competition and engagement through our annual House Cup. This exciting competition allows students to represent their House in a variety of activities across all areas of co-curricular life. From sports and creative arts to academic challenges, each House has the opportunity to compete and showcase their talents.
House competitions foster collaboration, teamwork, and a sense of pride, as students work together to achieve success. This involvement strengthens the bonds between students and staff, enriching the overall school experience.
Our House Emblems
Each House has its own emblem, representing its unique identity and values. These emblems are proudly displayed throughout the College and are a symbol of the pride and spirit that each House embodies.
