Partnering with Families
At the College, we work closely with parents and caregivers to create a partnership that supports every child’s growth and success. Recognizing the critical role families play, we strive to maintain a culture of openness, transparency, and mutual respect.
Key initiatives include:
- Parent-Teacher Collaboration: Regular termly meetings that provide a platform to discuss students’ progress, address challenges, and celebrate achievements. These sessions ensure that families are informed partners in the educational process.
- Educational Workshops: Tailored events designed to equip parents with tools and strategies to support learning at home. Topics range from helping children with homework to fostering emotional resilience.
- Family Engagement Events: The College offers a wide range of opportunities for families to engage in school life, including multicultural celebrations, sports days and community gatherings. Signature events such as the Year 12 Valedictory Dinner and Graduation, Year 6 and Kindergarten Graduations, and Grandparents’ Day further strengthen the sense of belonging and partnership between families and the College.
By strengthening these partnerships, we create a shared vision for student success, ensuring that learning extends beyond the classroom and into the home.
Strengthening Community Ties
Al Sadiq College’s role extends beyond the classroom and into the broader community. We are proud to be a cornerstone of the Muslim Alawite Community, while also embracing our place in Australia’s diverse cultural fabric. - Local Partnerships: Collaborations with businesses, councils and religious organizations to create opportunities for students, from work experience, internships to mentorship programs.
